Returns & Refund Policy

We are very excited to show you the quality of our products, and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product(s) to us for a full refund, less any shipping charges. You can start the return process by Contacting Us.  We encourage you to read through our Returns Policy below before you initiate the return through our Returns Center.

 

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we may not be able to offer you a refund or exchange.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.  There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted. They include: Any item not in its original condition; any item that is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error; or any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

 

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will issue you a refund. You will receive an email notifying you of that refund. The credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

 

Restocking fee
There is a 20% restocking fee for returned dollhouse kits. The main reason for this fee is because we do not warehouse and ship the dollhouse kits for sale on our site. Instead, our vendor does that for us, and they charge us a 20% restocking fee.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund when expected, first check your bank account. The next step is to contact your bank and/or credit card. There is often some processing time before your refund is officially posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged on delivery. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please Contact Us.

 

Shipping
We operate two warehouses and will instruct you which one to return your product(s) to once we authorize your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. The original shipping costs we incurred to mail the item to you are non-refundable.

If you are returning an item that costs more than $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

 

Shipping Policy

All orders are usually processed and shipped within 3 to 5 business days. In many cases, your dollhouse miniatures will even ship the same day.

 

All items are shipped by either United States Postal Service (USPS).

 

Generally, shipments under $100 in value and under 3 lbs. in weight ship typically via USPS, which can take between 3 and 5 business days for delivery.

Note: The following shipping tables apply only to shipments within the 48 contiguous United States. Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally at this time. Two Business Day Shipping costs are for miniatures only.

Rules & Exceptions

  • Our flat rate shipping charges are calculated based on pre-tax and post-discount merchandise totals.

  • Flat rate shipping estimates apply to orders shipping within the 48 contiguous United States only. For orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, it can take up to 5 additional business days.

  • During severe weather conditions or other natural disasters, delivery times may be delayed.

  • We observe all holidays recognized by the United States Postal Service, so please account for extra shipping time if you place an order on a federally observed holiday.

 

Privacy Policy

Genies Mini House Shop, LLC, knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust and want you to feel confident in our services and security as it relates to your personal information.

 

Genies Mini House Shop, LLC, owns the information collected on this site and will never sell or rent this information. We will not share it in ways different from what is described in this statement unless you authorize us to do so.

Your Information

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, and email address.

Wix

Our store is hosted on Wix.com. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Wix data storage, databases, and the general Wix application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

 

Payment

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Wix stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

 

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Third-party Services

USPS® 2021 Service Standards Changes

What are service standards? 

A service standard is the number of days between the acceptance and delivery of a piece of mail that the Postal Service™ considers to be timely delivery. Service standards are delivery benchmarks for how long customers can expect for the Postal Service to deliver different types of mail from origin to destination — Point A to Point B. Service standards are not necessarily the same as the actual service performance.
 

Why is the Postal Service™ implementing new service standards for First-Class Mail® and Periodicals?

On October 1, 2021, the Postal Service will implement new service standards for First-Class Mail® (FCM, which includes postcards, letters, and flats and excludes packages) and Periodicals. These new service standards will increase delivery reliability, consistency, and efficiency for our customers and across our network.

The service standard changes are central to the financial sustainability and service excellence under ‘Delivering for America', the Postal Service’s balanced and comprehensive 10-year plan.

The Postal Service is continually looking for ways to improve performance and provide customers with consistent, cost-effective, and reliable service. To offset declining mail volumes, modifying service standards allows for additional transport time and increased efficiencies across the network. Service standard changes for First-Class Mail and Periodicals will allow the Postal Service to shift mail from air transportation to ground transportation, reducing expenses and improving service reliability.

These changes will also enhance the Postal Service’s operational precision and allow the adoption of strategies to increase the efficiency of the ground transportation network, resulting in more reliable, consistent service to the American public.
 

Will the new service standards affect mail delivery?

Service standards determine how many days customers should expect it to take mail to be delivered from one place to another.

The current service standards are challenging to meet reliably. Adjusting the service standards will provide customers with more stable and realistic expectations. Most First-Class Mail (61 percent) will be unaffected. Standards for First-Class Mail traveling within a local area will continue to be two days. The Postal Service will increase time‐in‐transit standards by 1 or 2 days for certain mail that are traveling longer distances. By doing so, the Postal Service can entrust its ground network to deliver more First-Class Mail, which will lead to greater consistency and reliability for customers.


Tips for Consumers

With new service standards being implemented on October 1, 2021, USPS offers these tips for consumers:

  1. Plan ahead – For mail or correspondence that requires a deadline, the Postal Service encourages consumers to plan ahead and send their mail early. You likely wouldn’t wait to mail your mom a Mother’s Day card the day before or on Mother’s Day, so mail your letters and greeting cards with the Postal Service early so the Postal Service can ensure it reaches its final destination on-time.

  2. When sending mail long distance, mail early – If it would take you more than a day to drive your mail to its destination, make sure to give your long-distance mail some extra time to travel with USPS.

  3. Keep mailing letters! The majority of First-Class Mail will be unaffected by the Postal Service’s new service standards. In fact, these new standards mean your letters and mail will be delivered more reliably and consistently than they have been in previous years.
